 • About Braveheart RID •
From the 2007 Irish Draught Horse Society (NA) National Show

Picture
Braveheart is a 7 year old stallion who stands West of Houston, in Texas. He is 16h high and has 9 1/2” bone.  He was inspected and approved in 2004 by John Allen and Oliver Fleming. Braveheart is by O’Leary’s Irish Diamond out of Kilbline.

Braveheart and his family had a wonderful day at the show here yesterday (September 8th ’07) with his Mother, Kilbline taking the Supreme Championship, his pure bred son Kilroanan’s Bravado, out of 2005 National show champion, Bridon Loughlara took Reserve Champion Foal and Braveheart took second  place in our stallion class, next to the stunning ‘ Steeped in Luck’

As a testament to Braveheart’s offspring, Doug Willard from Industry Texas said of his filly ‘You’d wear the tires off your truck trying to find nicer one’.

Kate Triplett from Washington State says of her colt and filly ‘Braveheart shines through strongly in both of them, in their mild temperament, their sweet people-loving outlook, and in their absolutely perfect and very Irish feet and legs. They are also both are super movers. These are definitely among the best we have ever raised, and we could not be more pleased with them.’

As far as B/H  knows, all his ex’s do live in Texas, but he also has offspring in Virginia, Illinois,Washington, Montana and soon to be Australia. He is extremely fertile and is a very popular boy at Texas A&M University where he goes for his collection.

He has successfully bred every mare, either fresh or frozen semen, or his favorite, live cover. Frozen semen has now been exported to Australia and is available for the coming season.

Braveheart is owned, trained and cared for daily by Debbie Fullilove, who calls herself the ‘ultimate amateur’. Debbie has owned Braveheart since he was a yearling. She say’s ‘This is the easiest horse I have ever trained.”  His competitions have been limited due to Debbie's work commitments but he won reserve high point champion at his first ever dressage show and is currently competing novice level eventing. He has hunted, trail ridden, evented and ridden regularly around the neighborhood, and as a testament to those Irish Draught feet, he has never needed shoes.

For those of you that have met Braveheart you will have seen what a superb temperament this lovely stallion has, to match his superb conformation.

So, ladies and gentleman, here we have Braveheart, the Irish horse with the Scottish name, owned by the English lady living her dream in Texas.
